Pictures from Galway

Some flowering gorse along a lake near Galway.

Peat bogs - notice the strips of peat drying on top of the grass.

Rock walls in an area called "Famine City". These were built by poor people during the famine in the 1840's.

This river is in Galway. The green domed cathedral in the background is St. Nicholas Catholic Church, funded primarily by Irish/American rich Catholics including the Kennedys.

Ireland wouldn't be Irish without a Murphy's Bar!
